Rad Dad's - It's Not Just Pizza: A Flavorful Family Dining Experience in Defuniak Springs

My hat's off to the gal who took our counter order, made the sandwiches and waited on the tables singlehandedly. We ordered subs, fries and onion rings. Onion rings were great, The sub's contents were plentiful and fresh - my only suggestion is to get some fresh, crunchy bread to compliment the ingredients.

Ok, I’m a foodie. I try hole in the wall places to test them out with my family. When I tell you it’s the best pizza in the area, I’m not exaggerating. The cheese. It’s the 5 different types of cheese combo on the pizza that stands out. The dough is made in house. It’s packed with flavor. This place deserves more attention. Highly recommend everyone tried it. They deserve the business. 12 bucks for a large cheese. We ordered two personal pizzas, one large supreme and a large pepperoni. The total with drinks and everything for a family of 6 with left overs was only 55 bucks. Worth every penny. Will be going back.

I was finally able to check out this hidden gem over the weekend. We had salad, onion rings, of course pizza, and a 7 layer cake all of which we finished every bite. Nothing disappointed and everything was fresh and delicious including the pizza toppings and crust. What a wonderful small town surprise and well worth the drive if you aren’t local. We will be going back soon for sure!!!

We have eaten here twice while traveling through the area, and had a great experience both times. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We loved the atmosphere, small town charm. Had our 8 year old with us the first time. He was so excited about having his own personal pizza, and absolutely loved the games available to play while we waited for our food. We have only had the pizza both times so I can't speak to the rest of the menu, but the pizza is delicious. They also have some of the best tea, I have taken a to-go cup both times. We will definitely be back.

I'll start off by saying this wasn't a BAD experience per se, but the food is school cafeteria quality at best. The pizza, while pretty looking, was definitely lacking texture wise. The crust is chewy as others have commented here and just an odd texture. The sauce was also very bitter. I tried the meatloaf with mashed potatoes and mac&cheese. Meatloaf was decent, nothing crazy good about it, the potatoes were homemade had some lumps in them which I enjoy. I was upcharged for the mac&cheese, so I was assuming it was homemade, but I'm 90% sure it's just boxed mac, you don't get that neon yellow in homemade mac . The prices were very fair, for 2 personal pizzas and the meatloaf dinner it was about $30. So if you just want a cheap hot meal with no frills, give this place a shot. But for me I'd like to spend my money on something with a bit more substance.

This is the cutest little pizza place, well worth the drive! The pizza was just coming out of the oven when we arrived. The large Supreme was excellent. The next time we visit Defuniak Springs we’ll definitely be ordering from Rad Dads!

This was first time there I got buffalo wings and personal pan pizza. The owner was very nice and held a good conversation. The waitress was very sweet. The wings were juicy and very tender. The pizza was good soft crust.
